Sat Sept 24th – 11am-4pm at Carmichael Park 650 Southern Street
Environmentally friendly Brighton, CO offers its annual Ecofair for residents to learn about recycling and earth-friendly activities the whole family can undertake! The event offers free recycling of electronic items (see link for items that are allowed) and paper shredding at no cost. Food and refreshments plus face painting and petting zoo will also be available.
Sat Oct 1st – 9am-4pm at Adams County Historical Museum
A perfect autumn day out! Visit 250 craft booths full of handmade items at the museum, which is next door to Adams County Regional Park. Admission is only $2 and children under 12 are free.
Sat Oct 8th – 9am-12noon at Barr Lake State Park
A fun, family friendly 5k run/walk starts at 9am followed by a 1 mile family walk/run at 10am. Set at scenic Barr Lake State Park, this is the 2nd annual Legacy Ghost Run that supports the Brighton Legacy Foundation. Registration ($25 until 9/30/16) includes entry fee into the park for the day plus T-shirt and treat bag).
Sat Oct 15th – 1pm-3pm at Elmwood Cemetery
Don’t miss the annual walk through historic Elmwood Cemetery! Learn about Brighton’s past residents, including city leaders, farmers, and soldiers, in a fun and creative way! Each has a story to be shared that you will want to learn.
Sat Oct 15th – 6:30pm at City Hall at Charmichael Park (500 S. 4th Avenue)
This family friendly bike ride occurs every full moon from April through October making this the last Full Moon Loop Bike Ride of 2016! A free event, participants need only bring their bike, lights, and safety helmet.
Sat Nov 12th – 6pm at the Armory Performing Arts Center
It’s time for some dancing at the Brighton Historic Preservation Commission annual fundraising dinner! A 1970s-themed gala features a catered dinner, dancing to music by Boogie Machine, and a silent auction. Proceeds help fund local preservation efforts in Brighton. Tickets from $30.
Sat Nov 12th & Sun Nov 13th – 9am-4pm at Adams County Regional Park
This annual event is the ideal way to get your holiday shopping underway. With 400 craft booths full of handmade and special items for sale, you are sure to find something for that special someone. Located right next to Adams County Regional Park, admission is only $3.
Thu Nov 17th – 9am-4pm at the Armory Performing Arts Center
This special event offers educational and inspirational presentations from some of Colorado’s favorite musicians, dancers, and poets. Visit the Artists’ Loft and see fine artwork on display or watch art in progress. Registration is $25 and includes a light breakfast, lunch, and keepsake T-shirt.
Sat Nov 19th – 8:30am start at Brighton Recreation Center
The 32nd Annual Turkey Trot 5k run/walk race is the perfect start to your Thanksgiving week! Registration is from $20 and early registrants receive a T-shirt and goody bag. Overall male and female runner winners receive a turkey!
Sat Dec 10th – from 2pm at Brighton City Hall in Historic Downtown
Come along and enjoy face painting, hayrides, winter wonderland, and Santa! Festivities start at 2pm and businesses will be open with holiday activities and refreshments.
Sat Dec 10th – 5pm in downtown Brighton
The 21st Annual Festival of Lights Parade follows the Winter Festival at Brighton City Hall and features more than 75 fully lighted entries within the theme of “A Hometown Holiday Tradition.” You and your family won’t want to miss this special Brighton holiday events. All events are free and open to the public!
